WDIRARA: a lot of clothes, sorted so you can find them

We have made everyday fashion since 2019 and kept what worked. This page is the long version.

WDIRARA started in 2019 with a ribbed tank top. One of us had spent a month looking for a plain one that did not go see-through in daylight and did not ride up by lunchtime, and could not find it at a price worth paying. So we made it, in three colours, and it sold out.

Everything since has come from the same place. A small run goes out two or three times a month, we watch what people actually wear, and the shapes that come back for a second colour stay. That is the whole method, and it explains the size of the range: seven years of keeping what worked adds up.

The people behind WDIRARA are a small design team who mostly wear the range. A sample lives in somebody's actual wardrobe for a fortnight before it is signed off, which is a low bar and catches more than a spec sheet does. Ride-up, gaping waists and shoulder seams that sit half an inch wrong are all things you find by wearing a thing, not by reading about it.

We are careful about what we claim. We design and sell clothes. We do not spin fabric and we do not run a mill, so we will not tell you our looms run day and night. What we will tell you is what a piece is cut from, how it is meant to fit and where it is going to disappoint you.

That last part matters more at this price than anywhere else. A mesh top is see-through, because that is what mesh is. A satin set creases if you sit in it for four hours. Rigid denim does not give at the waist. Saying so costs us a sale now and again and saves a return every time.

Colour is the other half of the WDIRARA approach. Ask somebody what they are looking for and the answer is almost never a silhouette, it is a shade: something black, something in that green, a white one for summer. So the range repeats a shade across departments on purpose, and the colour map on the home page is the shortcut through it.

Payment, delivery and returns are handled by our retail partner at checkout rather than by us. If a piece arrives wrong, their returns process is the fastest route, and you can write to the team as well. Somebody here reads it.

That is the whole of the WDIRARA way. A lot of clothes, named for what they actually are, with the fabric and the size on the card and the bad news printed next to the good.
