The catch with a set is sizing: the two halves are sold as one size. Where a piece runs differently on top and bottom, the description says so rather than leaving you to find out.

Can I buy the halves separately?

Not as a set. A set is sold as one piece with one size. If you need two different sizes, the separate departments carry similar shapes.

Do the pieces match exactly?

Within one set, yes: both halves come from the same fabric run. Two sets ordered months apart can differ slightly in shade, which is how dyeing works.

Are three piece sets a set plus a cover-up?

Usually. The third piece is most often a shirt, a cover-up or a pair of shorts. The description lists what is in the box.
